December was a decisive month for Ukraine's state policy. The parliament and the government adopted decisions that lay the foundation for financial, security, and social policy for 2026. A key event was the adoption of the state budget with a clear priority on defense, as well as a number of laws in the tax, social, military, and humanitarian spheres.

The month was marked by important decisions in the Verkhovna Rada — from strengthening defense and security mechanisms to new social and educational initiatives. Ukraine also expanded its international partnerships by ratifying a number of agreements with key EU countries and the United Kingdom.

In July 2025, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a number of important decisions that define the further political and legal course of the state.
