​EU-LEAP participated in the Civil Society Forum organized by ISAR Ednannia

Valeriia Hrytsenko, CEO of EU-LEAP, spoke at the Tsukernya venue on the topic:  “Anti-corruption as a catalyst for advocacy: how NABU and SAP cases promote systemic change.”

We discussed how anti-corruption investigations create political windows of opportunity that allow for the promotion of reforms that have been blocked for years.

The discussion focused on how anti-corruption becomes a catalyst for evidence-based advocacy, and how civil society maintains stability, does not lose trust in the authorities, and uses these opportunities for systemic change.

We discussed:

- how to turn criminal cases into arguments for reform;

- how civil society can remain resilient and constructive during scandals;

- how not to lose trust in the authorities, but at the same time not allow them to lose focus on change;

- and most importantly, how to use anti-corruption “moments of truth” for systemic transformation, rather than isolated decisions.

Anti-corruption is becoming a catalyst for reform, and civil society organizations are becoming agents that transform shock into sustainable policies.​
